Love and fight


Older brother: Tom (he is 17,5 years old, he is in 11class.)
Younger brother: Jim ( is almost 16 years old, in the 10 class.)
Transfer student: Lucy (she is 16 years old, studying in the same class as Jim.)
Lucy’s best friend: Keith ( also 16 years old, studying in the 10class,but in the different school than Lucy.)
Jim’s best friend: Zach (he is 16 years old, Jim’s classmate.)

The main story is about two brothers and the girl, the older brother Tom is the
bad boy. He always gets into the fights, he has a big gang, and they all admire
him, because he is good looking, smart, and strong, he always wins all of his
fights, he never was defeated. In the school everyone was afraid of him even
some teachers were caution in front of him, but girls admired him and they
wanted him to be their boyfriend, because he is strong.
And his younger brother Jim is opposite of him…he is good looking too, he is smart, but he is a good guy, he hates fighting, he always thinks of fighting as unnecessary and violent, because fighting only brings misfortune.
Tom bullies Jim, but Jim still loves and admires Tom, because they are brothers. But one day the new student appears and changes their lives for good…

Scene 1

school before the first lesson, Jim is talking to his best friend Zach.

Zach:
- Hey Jim have you heard a new student is coming to our class, and it’s a girl too…
Jim:
- Really, but why does she comes in the middle of the year?
Zach:
-I don’t know, but I hope she is beautiful.
Jim:
-I don’t care if she is beautiful or not.
Zach:
-Why are you saying something like that, it would be sad if an ugly girl would come, because in our class are only a couple of good looking girls, so we desperately need a cute new girl…
Jim:
- You always talk about girls aren’t you tired of that?
Zach;
-No I would never get tired talking about girls…and that’s up with you?
Jim:
-Nothing…Why do you ask?
Zach:
-Because you look strange.
Jim:
-What do you mean strange?
Zach:
-Well I don’t know, you look like something is troubling you…
Jim:
-It’s nothing, don’t worry.
Zach:
-Don’t say ,,nothing” then I can see that something is troubling you…Is it Tom again?
Jim:
-NO
Zach:
-It is Tom…You always get mad then someone starts talking about him…
Jim:
- Shut up! I don’t care about him…

-You are lying

- Just SHUT UP OK!!! I don’t care about him! And just stop talking about him?!
Zach:
-Ok Ok …you don’t care about him. (NOT)
Jim:
-Just stop talking…Teacher is coming…

Scene 2

Teacher comes into the class with the new student , all guys’ starts shouting and howling. And girl starts talking to each other…Teacher tries to silent them that the new student could introduce herself…

Lucy:
-Hello, Nice to meet you. My name is Lucy, I am 15 years and 10 months old, and I hope we can get along…
Other girls starts talking to each other:
-WOW…
-She’s is pretty…
-I hate such cute and innocent girls, because they aren’t so innocent …
-Yeah, I think then she is outside school she isn’t such a goody-good…

All the guys talking:
-She’s so cute…
-I wonder if she has a boyfriend?...
-I think she has a boyfriend, because she is so cute…
-Yeah you must right…

Lucy goes to her seat, which is next to Jims and Zachs…

Lucy:
-Hi I’m Lucy, Nice to meet you, I hope we could become friends…
Zach:
-Hi, I am Zach, nice to meet you too...
Lucy:
-And who is your silent friend?
Zach:
-Oh…He’s Jim…
Lucy:
-Nice to meet you Jim..,
Jim:
-Yeah …
Zach:
-Jim you should be more polite…
Jim:
- I don’t need a lecture from you…
Zach:
-Jim…You are so rude…

-Just shut up…The teacher starting the lesson…

The lunch break… Lucy tries to talk to Jim and Zach again…

Lucy:
-Hey…You’re Jim right?
Jim:
-Yeah

-You see I am a new in this school so maybe you can show me around?
Jim:
-Ask someone else

-But I want you to show me around.
Jim:
- Hey girly girl just get lost.
Lucy:

Zach: ( he interrupts in Jims And Lucy’s talk)…
-Hey Jim why are you talking to Lucy so rude?
Jim:
- Because she annoys me…
Zach:
- WHAT? How can you say that?
Lucy:
-Don’t worry he haven’t hurt me…

-It doesn’t matter…
Jim:
-Zach you haven’t changed? huh
Zach:

Jim:
-You always are so meddlesome.
Zach:

Jim:

Lucy: (Laughs)

Jim:

Jim, Zach and Lucy are walking through the hall back to their classroom and Jim sees his brother...

Zach:
- Oh…Jim look it’s your brother with the gang…
Jim:
-I don’t care… Just lets go…I don’t want to see him.
Zach:
-Really? You could talk to him.
Jim:
-He won’t talk to, even if I were going to die…
Zach:
-Don’t joke like that!!! I believe if you try you could talk to him.
Jim:
-Zach you know him, he HATES me, and actually I don’t care if we are brothers or not.
Zach:
-But I still think that you could at least say ,,Hi” to him.
Jim:
-Hey…Get off my back ok?
Zach:
-Alright.
Lucy:
-Which guy is Jims brother?
Zach:
-He’s in the middle of everyone’s attention.
Lucy:
-You mean that tall one with black hair and evil looking eyes?
Zach:
-Yeah…That’s him…
Lucy:
-But Jim is much different than his brother…
Zach:
-Well its because his brother looks like his dad, and Jim looks more like his mom…
Lucy:
-Oh…and why does they are not talking to each other?
Zach:
-Well…..
Jim:
-You can tell her that, because she should know that it’s better to stay away from me and my brother.
Zach:
-Ok then, I will tell her some of it…

-Sure
Lucy:
-So why are they not talking to each other?
Zach:
-They were like that for a long time now, I don’t know exactly what happened that they are not talking to each other, because when I and Jim were little Tom always was playing with us, and he was really kind.
Lucy:
-So Jims brothers name is Tom and then you were little he was kind.
Zach:
-Yeah, that’s right, but then Tom started to go to middle school everything changed and Tom started to bully Jim and because of that Jim even had to go to hospital…
Lucy:
-That’s terrible, to hurt his own brother like that.
Zach:
-Yeah I know…After some time then I and Jim started to go to this school we heard that Tom has a gang and he is the leader of them…From that time we heard many bad rumours about Tom, and because of him his mom got ill, and his dad started to work even harder so Jim barely sees him at home, because of that Jim started to take care of the house and his mom, and he is studying hard too…
Lucy:
-So Jim took all of the responsibility of his mother and the house?
Zach:
-Yeah, he took all the responsibility, and now his brother aren’t coming back home for days…but still he hides his brother and tells his parents that he is getting home late or sleeping at his friend…I even know that he gives money to Tom to his friend, because he is worried about him… Lucy:
-Jim is so kind. and he really loves his brother…
Zach:
-Yeah I know, but it seams that something happened again that’s why Jim is in the bad mood…
Lucy:
-Really…I wonder what could have happened between them?
Zach:
-I really don’t know.
Lucy:
-Hey Zach, tell me why everyone are scared of Jim too?
Zach:
-Its because of Tom everyone knows that they are brothers so everyone is afraid of him…
Lucy:
-But he isn’t like his brother…
Zach:
-I know, but because they are brothers everyone thinks that they are the same.
Lucy:
-That’s unfair, Jim isn’t like that he is much better, and I really don’t think that his brother is bad too.
Zach:
-I don’t believe too…because Tom always were kind to us, especially to Jim.
Lucy:
- Oh …I see…
Zach:
-Hey just don’t try to do something…
Lucy:
-Why do you think I’m going to do something?
Zach:
-I can see that in your eyes…
Lucy: (stars laughing)
- Zach you are such a joker.
Zach: (blushes)
-Thanks…
Lucy:
-Oh no…I forgot something can you go on ahead to class, I will be back in a minute…

Lucy is heading back to there they saw Tom, because she wants to meet him…
While running she bumps into someone and that someone is Tom…

Lucy:
-Oh…I’m sorry.
Tom:
-Don’t worry…But are you alright?
Lucy:
-I’m alright…Huh…You are Tom right?
Tom:
-So you know me, huh?
Lucy:
-No…I just heard about you from Zach…
Tom:
-From Zach? That little…..
Lucy:
-Please don’t be mad at him…I asked him about you because I heard that you and Jim aren’t getting along very well…
Tom:
-So you know my little brother too…
Lucy:
-Yes, we are in the same class.
Tom:

-Everything started then I started to go to this school, apparently in this school was a goy who bullied everyone, but I was the only one who wasn’t afraid of him, and I got into the fight with him, I won against him and because of that I became his gangs Leader, but he couldn’t stand me, so he transferred to other school, but he told that one day he gets a revenge on me, and that he would hurt everyone who is most precious to me, that meant that he will hurt my family, that means Jim too…I didn’t want that so started to hurt Jim, that he would start to hate me, but maybe I done something wrong because of me my mom and dad suffers too, and that really bugs me…Besides everyone is afraid of me and even they are afraid of Jim, and I really didn’t want that they would be afraid of him…
Lucy:
-So actually you are really kind, and you care about your little brother…
Tom:
-Well, I can’t hate him because he is my little brother, and I just want him to have a normal life…
Lucy:
-So why haven’t you told that to Jim?
Tom:
-Because he wouldn’t listen to me, he is really stubborn…
Lucy:
-Oh…You know you are really nice…
Tom: (blushes)
-You shouldn’t tell such a thing to a guy you know.
Lucy:
-I know but that’s what I think about you.
Tom:
-So then be my girlfriend?
Lucy:
-WHAT?
Tom:
-Start dating me…

-Don’t worry I am going to tell you everything.
Lucy tells everything to Jim and Zach( but she hides the fact that she started dating Tom)

-I didn’t know that it’s like that…
Lucy:
-You see…He still is your brother, and he done everything for you…
Zach:
-Jim she is right.
Jim:
-But still he should have told me everything.
Lucy:
-He didn’t want to worry you.
Jim:
-hmm…

-You should go and talk with your brother about everything…

After that a week passed by, but Jim haven’t talked to Tom…So Lucy told everything to her best friend Keith, and she told Lucy to wait and see what will happen and she got very interested in Jim, and after that Keith transferred to Lucy’s school and she started to spend more and more time with Jim, Zach and Lucy…But all that time Jim haven’t talked about Tom, he acted like nothing happened, except he got interested (very interested) In Lucy…But one day then they all were going home from cinema, they saw how Tom with his gang were fighting with other gang, Jim and Zach immediately rushed to the center of the fight to help Tom…

Jim:
-Hey, brother do you need help?
Tom:
-Jim? Zach? What are you doing here?
Jim:
-Can’t you see…
Zach:
-Tom we thought you need help…
Tom:
-Its not your fight
Jim:
-I don’t care, you are my brother so I’m going to help you
Zach:
-You think we can just ignore that you are getting your butt kicked…
Tom:
-Well then… Look behind you this guys dint know how to fight fare so you have to fight all of them together…
Zach:
-Don’t worry about us…
Jim:
-Yeah…You should worry about yourself because here comes more guys who want, their butts kicked…
Tom:
-Then Lets teach them a lesson guys!!!
Zach:
-YEAH!!!
Jim:
-YEAH!!!
The fight was short, but Tom and the gang won this fight.

Tom:
-Hey guys, what were you doing here…
Zach:
-Well, we were getting those girls home…

Lucy and Keith shows up:

Lucy:
-Hi Tom…
Tom:
-Hi.
Lucy:
-This is my best friend Keith.
Keith:
-Nice to meet you Tom
Tom:
-Yeah, its really nice. Oh…And Jim Zach were did you learn to fight so good?
Jim:
-Nowhere, its just instinct ….(Stars laughing)
Zach:
-Well you know Tom we all three grew up together, and we always were fighting.
Tom:
-Yeah, that must be it… And mm…Jim, I’m sorry that I ignored you and that I even hurt you…
Jim:
-Don’t worry its past. So from now on lets fight together, and not each other.
Tom:
-Sure. Zach will you fight together with us?
Zach:
-Why are you asking if you know the answer.

Everyone starts laughing:
Keith:
-Hey guys I think Its time to go home you know.
Everyone:
-Yeah, lets go home.
Jim:
-Lucy can I talk to you alone
Lucy:
-Sure
Jim:
-You guys go ahead of us.
Tom:
-Ok…Just you two hurry up ok…

Tom, Zach and Keith goes on ahead:
Jim:
-Lucy I have something to tell you.
Lucy:
-What?
Jim:
-Umm…You know its kind of hard to say.
Lucy:
-Don’t worry just tell what you want to tell me.
Jim:
-Well you see….
Lucy:
-Hmm…

-I really like you!!! Will you date me?
Lucy:
-Huh…I…I’m sorry Jim, you are very nice and all, but I’m dating Tom
Jim:

, let’s go, everyone is waiting…

The time passed away and soon Lucy’s friend Keith, told about her feeling to Jim, and after that Jim started to date Keith, Tom and Lucy were dating too…So you could say it’s a happy ending but it isn’t because only Zach were without the girlfriend…So the gang decided to find him a girl, but it was hopeless because almost all girls were afraid of Tom and Jim the two brothers, which were the strongest gangs fighters…But Zach didn’t gave up he started to look for a girlfriend himself, and he decided that he will not lose to Tom and Jim in fights and even with girls…
Everyone life’s got into peace, if you could say that being a gangs strongest fighters
Can lead to a peaceful life…

Harris: ''He just went to buy cigarettes...''

Nem: ''Is he still making the same mistakes? I thought he had stopped smoking.''

Amy: ''You can't stop these things so easily, Nem.''

Chester: ''Hey, what's up?''

Harris: ''We were just talking about you. Don't you think it's time for you to stop smoking, man?''

Chester: ''Stop pretending to be my mum! Mike, don't do that, stop this, look at this stuffy room!! The same things all the time! I'm bored!''

Nem: ''Ok, calm down Mike, don't flare up!''

Amy: ''Where is Patricia?''

Harris: ''I thought you already knew how she behaves. She's always late and then tries to justify herself.''

Chester: ''Ah, there she is!''

Harris: ''Hi Patricia, where were you?''

Patricia: ''Hi guys, you won't believe what happened to me!!''

Patricia: ''Firstly I had an argument with my parents. They always exaggerate for stupid things. Then I missed the bus, and it took me too long to find a taxi. And this stupid taxi driver wanted to flirt with me.''

Nem(whispering to the others): ''She exaggerates again.''

Nem: ''And what happened next..?''

Patricia: ''That was it!! Do you want more. I think it's enough for today.''

Amy: ''Ok, after a small break with Patricia’s stories, we can continue. Harris, what's going on with you in the last weeks, we haven’t seen you for ages!''

Nem: ''Yeah, you are always so busy. What have you been doing all this time?''

Chester: ''I'm sure he has found a girlfriend and has forgotten all about us now.''

Nem: ''Oh, crazy boy!''

Amy: ''I don't think so... something else is going on... Otherwise he would have told us, wouldn't you, Harris?''

Harris: ''Well,... hmmm...''

Patricia: ''Well and hmmm, what stupid things are these? Tell us now what's going on with you!''

Harris: ''I have some problems, but this is not your business!''

Patricia: '' This is not our business? What are talking about? I thought we were friends and we don't have any secrets!''

Amy: ''Yeah, if you have problems we will always be there for you.''

Chester: ''You are working? You, the laziest person on earth?''

Harris: ''I am not rich like you! I don't take daddy's money!''

Harris: ''My brother is taking drugs...''

Harris: ''We don't have enough money to help him, and therefore I have to work too.''

Amy: ''Oh my God! How long does he take drugs?''

Harris: ''For about one year.''

Patricia: ''How did you find out?''

Harris: ''He started spending time with some guys, and since then his behaviour has been very strange. He always comes home late at night, he spends a lot of money, and he has stopped eating.''

Nem: ''What do your parents say about that?''

Harris: ''They feel very disappointed and they think it's their fault that they haven't brought him up as they should have. And now they are worried about me, because they think I will be influenced.''

Chester: ''Sorry, man, I didn't know... I can give you and your family money if you need.''

Nem: ''And we will also help you, just ask, don't hesitate!''

Harris: ''Thank you, guys, you are real friends!''

Amy: ''I just had a great idea! I read in a leaflet from Greenpeace, that they are looking for some people to clean up the forest two days a week.''

Nem: ''Oh, Holy Lord, let it rain hammers!''

Chester: ''Why, will it be necessary for Amy’s job?''

Nem: ''No, just to fall down on her head and break it!! She should stop saying stupid things!''

Amy: ''Thanks a lot, Nem!''

Patricia: ''How will Greenpeace pay us for this job? In Greenpeace there are only volunteers, they don't get paid for what they do.''

Amy: '' Actually, it's a project from the government, helping Greenpeace in that way by calling attention to the environment. And just imagine, doing this job, we will make two good actions: On the one hand we will help Harris, and on the other hand we will help the environment. Isn't it great?''

Chester: ''Amy, is that you? It's the first time you said something good!''

Amy (ironically): ''Oh, guys, you're so nice to me! Well, what do you think?''

Nem: ''It's ok... When does this project start?''

Patricia: ''Harris, what do you think?''

Harris: ''It sounds good to me...''

Amy: ''This programme starts in two days and if we want to do that we have to go and join before somebody else takes this job first.''

Patricia: ''Well, you can join this programme, but I don't know if I will have time for this...''

Chester: ''What's so important that you can't leave?''

Patricia: ''Hmmm... I have ballet lessons and so many other things to do in the afternoon, but I can ask my dad to give me some money for Harris.''

Nem: ''I don't think that these things are so important, that you can't leave them for two days a week. Sometimes you behave like my two-year old sister.''

Patricia: ''You know, I am good at ''these things'', as you call them!''

Harris: ''Ok, but I don't want you to change your schedule just because of me.''

Nem: ''In a group, all the members work together, I think Patricia is still a member of this group, aren't you, Patricia?''

Patricia: ''Ok, I’ll make a try.''

Harris: ''Ok, guys, I have to leave now because in a half an hour I have to be at work...''

Amy: ''Ok, let us know about you news''
(Everyone says “bye”, and Harris leaves)

Chester: ''I can't believe he had such a big problem and he hadn't told us!!''

Nem: ''Poor Harris! What else can we do to help him?''

Amy: ''I don't know. Do you think he can get involved?''

Chester: ''I know him very well and I have faith in him. But I think that the situation in his family can hurt him.''

Amy: ''Why don't you invite him to stay at your home?''

Chester: ''I would, but I don't think he would accept it. I'm sure he will want to be close to his brother.''

Nem: ''I could never imagine that someone of us would have such a big problem. I mean, we always see these things on TV and never think about the difficult situation these people are in. It's so scary...''

Patricia: ''I personally think that it's also fault of his parents. Haven't you noticed how strange they behave to the friends of Harris? They always want him to have rich friends, who are also good students. And they are very strict to Harris, and I imagine that they will have the same behaviour with his brother. And by trying show his parents that everyone's worth having friends, he got involved in a wrong group.''

Nem: ''I don't want to imagine the situation at his house right now, that stupid drugs can destroy a family so easily...hm.''

Amy: ''Ok, yeah, you're right, but enough with this stuff it's time for action. I brought these leaflets about the job I told you before...''

Patricia: ''Did you know about Harris problem before us?''

Amy: ''Of course not, but I was sure that you would want to join Greenpeace and help the environment!!''

Nem: ''Harris' problem is the only thing that keeps me far for an assassination at this specific time. Anyway, give us these leaflets to sign....’’

Amy: ''Here, I have exactly one leaflet for everyone. There is also some useful information about our planet. And some tips to save our planet from global warming and climate change. It's so interesting, don't you think?''

Patricia: ''What exactly is global warming?''

Chester: ''Yeah, and what is climate change? Everybody is talking about it, but I don't exactly know what it is...''

Amy: ''Well you silly people, global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation, and it's caused by human activities which are creating excess greenhouse gases that trap heat in the atmosphere and lead to it.''

Nem: ''And what about climate change?''

Amy: ''It's the variation in the Earth's global climate or in regional climates over time. And for people with low IQ like you it means that we don't have to waste energy aimlessly and...-''

Chester: ''Ok, Ok, that’s more than enough information... when do we start working?''

Amy: ''Next week. I just wanted you to go well informed to that job...''

Nem: ''Oh, with all this I forgot to tell you... Last week a boy from Cuba moved into my neighbourhood. He is a little bit strange, but he's a good boy. I feel sometimes very sorry for him, because some stupid guys from my neighbourhood face him with racism.''

Patricia: ''And why that?''

Nem: ''Because he's different... He has a different skin colour, he wears weird clothes and he has different beliefs and wants. But he's a great guy and I like spending time with him. I also invited him here today, because I want you to meet him. Ah, here he already comes!''

Javier: ''Hi!''

Nem: ''Hey Javier! How are you? Don't feel shy, come closer and sit beside me.''

Javier: ''I'm fine thanks.'' (sits down)

Nem: ''Guys, this is Javier, and Javier, these are my friends I told you about, Amy, Chester and Patricia.''
(Everyone says “hi” to Javier)

Amy: ''You have a great pronunciation!''

Javier: ''Yeah, thanks... My mum is from Greece and my father is from Cuba.''

Chester: ''And why did you move to Greece?''

Javier: ''Things are very difficult in Cuba, there's much poverty, and it's hard to find a job. My dad lost his job and my mum's job wasn't really good, so we had to immigrate to Greece...''

Patricia: ''Do you have any brothers or sisters?''

Javier: ''Yes, I have one older brother, but he stayed at Cuba, he didn't want to come to Greece.''

Amy: ''You must miss him very much...''

Javier: ''Yes, we were very close to each other, but we can't change anything now... But we often correspond.''

Chester: ''Do you have any hobbies?''

Javier: ''In Cuba I used to dance latin. I took part in competitions and with the money I won I helped my family.''

Patricia: ''It's so strange to hear that a boy is dances in his free time.''

Javier: ''Maybe, but in Cuba latin is something like the traditional dance and everybody knows how to dance latin.''

Patricia: ''I also dance, not latin, but ballet. If you have any free time you could teach me latin.''

Chester (whispering to Javier): ''I'm sure that she likes you.''

Amy: ''Are you working now?''

Javier: ''Well, I’m looking for a job at the time''

Amy: ''Next week we are going to start a job to help the environment and a friend of us whose brother takes drugs.''

Javier: ''In Cuba we have also a big problem with drugs... Most people become drug dealers, because that brings them a lot of money.''

Amy: ''Do you want to join this environmental programme?''

Javier: ''Yeah thanks, I think it's a good idea!''

Nem: ''Great, I won't have to be alone with so many environmentalist freaks...''
(Everybody's laughing)

Javier: ''Did anybody of you see this documentary on the TV yesterday evening?''

Amy: ''Which one?''

Javier: ''The one about the most beautiful sights of Greece.''

Chester: ''Yeah, I saw it.''

Amy: ''Me too! Isn't it really sad how these wonderful sights get destroyed by us human, because we are so careless?''

Nem: ''Well, that's the point where I really have to agree with you, Amy. Sometimes we, Greeks, just aren't concerned enough about our country. I really hate people, who, for example, throw their rubbish on the street, with the excuse that it's not their street which they make dirty, and then say that it's the fault of the state, and that there should be bins on every corner.''

Chester: ''Wow, I never thought I would hear such things from you! You are absolutely right!''

Amy: ''Yes, everything you said was right I think, but it is not always that kind of carelessness. Acid rain is another reason why the marbles of the Parthenon for example are resolving.''

Javier: ''I've heard that word before, I think, but I don't remember what it is...''

Chester: ''This time I can explain you too what the phenomenon called acid rain is... We learned it last year in chemistry I think...''

Amy: ''Oh, that's cool Chester! You really astonish me!''

Chester: ''So, listen, king Chester is going to explain you.''

Amy: ''Oh didn't Nem tell about our band? Doesn’t surprise me... Well we have a band. Nem is the singer, Chester plays the guitar, Harris plays the drums, and I'm the bassist.''

Javier: ''Who is Harris?''

Chester: ''Harris is the friend we told you before whose brother is addicted to drugs. He left a few minutes before you came.''

Javier: ''What's the name of the band?''

Nem: ''The Desk of Rock.''

Amy: ''We wanted to call it ‘the green environmentalists’, but Nem was against.''

Nem: ''It's the worst name I’ve ever heard for a rock band.''

Amy: ''Of course it's not. Through our music we have to motivate people to care about the environment and the name is very important for that.''

Nem: ''Oh, shut up I can't hear the same fibs twice. So we have to find a place for our rehearsal.''

Chester: ''We can go to my house. My parents are away all the time so no one will disturb us.''

Nem: ''Oh, great. Can we start tomorrow?''

Chester: ''Ok, there’s no problem.''

Javier: ''Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeellooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Patricia where are you?? What are you thinking about so seriously?''

Patricia: ''Oh, I’m sorry, but you start talking about the band and I was daydreaming.''

Javier: ''Aren't you a member of the band?''

Patricia: ''Of course I am! I'm the leader and without me the band would be nothing.''

Nem: ''Oh, thank you, big goddess Patricia, you are the best. I wonder when you will stop pretending to be fabulous.''

Patricia: ''I'll just ignore you. So, I have to start looking for clothes.''

Amy: ''Ok, but you don't need to pay so much attention to that kind of useless things. The whole point is the feeling.''

Chester: ''Oh, don't start again.''

Amy: ''You are ordinary people and you just can't understand me.''

Javier: ''I won't miss that concert.''

Patricia: ''It will be great, that's a promise.''

Javier: ''How many times have you played in a concert?''

Nem: ''I think 3 times. We used to play at a bar, but we had an argument with the boss of the bar and we stopped playing there.''

Amy: ''I just had a great idea!! With the money of the concert we can help Haris.''

Chester: ''Yesssss! That’s a good idea. Therefore we have to be very good at the concert.''

Nem: ''Javier do you want to come to our rehearsal tomorrow? We want to have fans.''

Javier: ''Yes, sure! I'll definitely come.''

Patricia: ''I can come to collect you if you tell me where you live.''

Javier: ''Thanks! My house is exactly beside Nem's.''

Patricia: ''I'll be there at 7:00 o'clock in the afternoon. I have to leave now, because my parents and I are invited to a formal dinner. See you tomorrow...!!Bye bye!!!''

Nem: ''What do you think of my friends?''

Javier: ''They are really nice, very friendly and you can laugh your heart out with them.''

Nem: ''Yes, they are nice and I like spending time with them, they are really reliable and you can always trust them... .’’

Javier: ''Oh, I forgot, my mum asked me to buy some things from the supermarket so I have to go this way. See you tomorrow at the rehearsal. Bye!''

Nem: ''Ok then bye bye!!''
(Nem leaves the stage, Javier is walking alone. Then he sees Patricia with some other guys on the way to the supermarket.)
(While Patricia was speaking Javier overheard)

Patricia: ''Oh I can't believe it!''

Some of the guys Patricia is with: ''What?''

Patricia: ''They want me to work two days a week as a cleaner in the forest.''

The guy: ''And why's that?''

Patricia: ''Because we have to help a friend whose brother takes drugs. Ok, I want to help, but not in this way. I could for example offer him some money. But instead of this I have to do some stupid job and because of that I have to change my weekly programme.''

The guy: ''What excuse did you use to leave this time?''

Patricia: ''I told them that my parents and I where invited at a formal dinner..!''

The guy: ''You are such a liar!''

Patricia: ''I couldn't stay there and hear everyone’s fibs! Amy and her environmental stuff... So boring!''

(Javier leaves without buying the things for his mum. After ten minutes he arrives at his home).

Javier’s mum: ''Hey Javier how was your day? Oh, didn't you buy the things I told you?''

Javier: ''Sorry mum, I forgot! It was really nice. Nems friends were really friendly and we talked about lots of things.''

Javier’s mum: ''If you had such a great time why do you look so upset?''

Javier: ''I just saw something and didn't like it at all.''

Javier’s mum: ''What?''

Javier: ''I just saw a girl of Nem's company on the way home who was supposed to be out with her parents. Instead of this she was with some other guys, taking the name of her friends in vain. And now I don't know if it would be a good idea to tell the others about it. They don't know me for a long time, and maybe they don't trust me.''

Javier’s mum: ''I would advise you to tell them. Someday they will find out what kind of person she really is...''

Javier: ''Yeah, maybe that's the right thing for me to do.''

(Javier phones Nem, to tell her everything he overheard)

Nem: ''Hello?''

Javier: ''Hey, Nem, it's me, Javier.''

Nem: ''Oh, hi! What's going on? What did you forget to tell me?''

Javier: ''Nothing. Something weird just happened on the way to the supermarket...''

Nem: ''What?''

Javier: ''Well, I... I saw Patricia with some other guys, talking about you and the others...''

Nem: ''Really? Isn't she supposed to be with her parents? What was she saying about us?''

Javier: ''She told these guys she was bored all these things you do and that she doesn't want to join this environmental programme, and stuff like that...''

Nem: ''How silly, we just do this to help Harris!''

Javier: ''She said that she could offer some money to him.''

Nem: ''She knows that Harris wouldn't accept this. I can't believe all this, how could we have a friend like her. Thank you for telling me that you are a real friend.''

Nem: ''I'll tell this to the others. And after that I might kill her. Thanks again. See you tomorrow.''

Nem: ''Yes, guys. When Javier told me about, it I couldn't believe it.''

Amy: ''It doesn't surprise me at all. What are we going to do when Patricia comes?''

Chester: ''We have to talk to her.''

Nem: ''Ah, Chester did you tell Harris to come?''

Chester: ''Yes, he will come later after work.''

Javier & Patricia: ''Hi!! What's up?''

Nem: ''I'll tell you what's up you furtive girl! What did you do last night? Did you really were with your parents?''

Patricia: ''Of course I was! Why not?''

Nem: ''Because somebody saw you hanging around with some guys saying horrible things about us.''

It’s night and the 5 kids are going to the bar to drink…

Anna: Hey, guys is it Joanna with Jasmine???
Jennifer: Yes I think so…
Maria: What do you think that their parents would say if they learnt
that they are lesbians???
Clair: Well, I don’t know but not something good…
John: Hey girls be quiet they are coming here…
Joanna - Jasmine: Hey, guys… What’s up???
Anna: Fine you…???

Jasmine: Well at first they were shocked and started yelling at me but then they accepted that we are different…

Clair and John are going to the toilets because they want to smoke some joints.

After 2 hours the five children go to Jennifer’s house!

Clair: I want vodka.

Jennifer: When did you start smoking joints…?
Clair: What are you talking about…?

The 5 kids leave Jennifer’s house and take Clair to the hospital, which is not to far from Jennifer’s house . . .


John: You think that she will be ok?
Jennifer: I hope so…
Anna: Guys I am sure she’ll be ok…


After an hour Clair wakes up… The parents of the 5 children are at the hospital shouting at their children…


Anna: Thank god that Clair is ok…
John: Yeah, you’re right…
Maria: What are we going to do now with our parents? They are
going to learn that we were smoking joints…
Jennifer: We’ll face it as always, I don’t care they are not going to tell
me what to do…
John: Yeah, you’re right…


The 5 kids are at their homes and their parents are very different with the behavior to their kids.





Scene 4


Anna and Jennifer are talking on the phone.


Anna: Hi, Jennifer, my parents have become so strict lately after that
event… you know…!
Jennifer: Yeah, mine too. I am in the same situation.
Anna: Clair, Maria and John are in the worst situation of all of us.
Jennifer: Yeah, I think so too . . .



Meanwhile Maria has left her house after a fight she had with her parents. She has gone to find a guy from her school who is a drug dealer… he gives her the best thing… Heroin.


Maria: I can’t these awful parents anymore. I won’t something else.


Meanwhile John has been looking for Maria and John has called at Anna’s house . . .


John: Hi, Anna!
Anna: Hi, John!
John: Anna, do you know where Maria is?
Anna: No . . . I haven’t talked to her . . .

This kept on with Jennifer and Clair . . . Meanwhile John went out in the streets to look for Maria. Unfortunately he found her in a bad condition.


John: Hey, Maria where have you been, I was looking for you . . .


SILENCE……


John: Maria what’s going on…? Why aren’t talking to me . . .?



John gets closer to Maria and then he realizes something very bad...


John: Oh . . .my God…! What the fuck have you done?


John calls his parents. His parents came to help him. Maria is dead from an overdose of Heroin…





Scene 5



The next day at the funeral. Everyone is sad and depressed.


Anna: I can’t believe what has happened…
Jennifer: Me, too how have things come so far?
Clair: I was not expecting that from Maria.
Jennifer: Yes, it’s awful…
John: It’s my fault I gave her these joints at first. I started it…
Anna: No John it’s not your fault.
Clair: Yeah, I gave her too…
Jennifer: Hey, guys its no one’s fault. Maria did that without
thinking about consequences…
John: Hey, girls promise me something that we will never smoke
joints or drink again. Will you promise me that? What ever
bad happens in our lives…
All: Yes, we promise…



All the 4 friends together decide not to get involved in drugs again and they will always remember their friend Maria who so badly died from drugs.

SCENE 1


Nehir, Ergin, Ilgın, Büşra and Beliz are best friends. One day they went to a park, they ate hamburgers during walking. They sat in a park’s bank. And they started to talk And it suddenly begins to rain.

Nehir: Ohh! It is raining. What can we do?
Büşra: Let’s go back home!
Ilgın: Are you silly? It’s so far if we go home we will get cold I think.
Beliz: Yes and it will be late and it is 6 o’clock
Ilgın: So what can we do?
Ergin: Isn’t there any people who will know?
Beliz: Of course no!!! Didn’t you come here?
Ergin: No…OK but where can we stay?
Büşra: Ohh! It’s getting worse.
Nehir: Yes! Anyone knows what we can do? Are we going to stay here or will we go our home when the rain finishes maybe we can wait under that brigde…
Ilgın: Let’s go!
Büşra: OK! Let’s go but what about our famıly?Aren’t they get worry about us? Has anyone get her/his mobile phone?
Beliz: I have it. Here you are!


SCENE 2


Ergin: Thanks!

-----They are playing and the phones disconnected. But they don’t think so.

Beliz: Wait! It is calling! Ohh no! It ıs disconnected.
Nehir: What a pitty! What can we do now?
Ilgın: ohh we are going to wait while the rain stops.
Büşra: I am boring and scaring. It is get hard!

---She stepped forward and suddenly fell down.


SCENE 3


Büşra: Save me please
Nehir: I have a light. I am openıng it. Ohh! What a beautiful and interesting place let’s go down!

---They go down and they will get lost but they don’t know this too.

Ilgın: Büşra, where are you? I am here. Behind of you turn back.
Beliz: Ohh! This place is dark. Where are we?

---Ergin sits on a Stone and finds an old map

Ergin: Look my friends, I found something like a map.
Büşra: What??? Let me look.


SCENE 4


They all come together at the map and look at the map! The map is showing a cave. And they decide to follow the map.

Büşra: Let’s go. I think we got lost.
Nehir: We haven’t got any way. We should follow what the map says.
Ilgın: OK! Let’s go but where can we go?
Beliz: What does it say? Turn left again.
Ergin: Heyyy! It says turn left again. Will we finish the road like turnıng left always?
Büşra: I can say only ‘‘STOP TALKING AND DO WHAT THE MAP SAYS’’


SCENE 5


They started to following the map and they will come across to an interesting adventure.

Beliz: OK! We came therewhat map says now.
Büşra: Isn’t there any light
Ergin: Here you are.
Nehir: What are these? Are there boxes
Ilgın: Yes and what is in the box?
Beliz: I think a part of map! Let’s open it.

---Nehir opens the box and they saw the second part of the map---


SCENE 6


Ergin: What are we going to do? Are we going to follow the map?
Ilgın: What else we can do?
Beliz: How can we go there? Where is the palace?
Nehir: Map says we must turn right.
Büşra: Come on let’s go!
Beliz: OK!

-5 minutes later-

Ilgın: Ohh! I’m hungry!
Ergin: HEYY SHUT UP!!! Isn’t it palace that we must go?
Nehir: The map shows here but I don’t know what will do in here.
Büşra: I think we must enter into the palace and find third part of the map. What do you say about this?
Beliz: I think so. Let’s go to the palace.

-10 minutes later-

Ilgın: What is this book? It is interesting. I like reading. Let me look!
Ergin: Not important, we haven’t got so much time.Let’s go.

-Ilgın starts to read-

Ilgın: Heyy! Look what does it says!!! I can’t believe it.
Ergin: Don’t be silly PLEASE!!!
Ilgın: I found something. What is this paper in this book???
Beliz: Maybe our map! Let me look!
Nehir: Yes yes, we can find our way maybe.
Beliz: Now, we must go out from this palace! But how can w ego out from this palace? Ilgın, get together the maps parts. Maybe we can go out from there.
Ilgın: The map shows that how can we go out from the palace.
Büşra: I am very hungry. What can we eat?
Ergin: Let’s go to the kitchen.


SCENE 7


They walked to the kitchen and they saw the exit.


Büşra: Heyy! Look! This is exit.
Beliz: Let’s go.
Büşra: But I am hungry. Let’s have something and then we must go quickly.
Ergin: Ohh! Look out-side. What a beautiful place!!!
Nehir: Heyy! Quickly! Go out-side.
Ergin: Who is this next to the door?
Beliz: I don’t know!!!L
Ilgın: Ohh! No! Don’t say that we can’t go out!!!
Büşra: I think soL so sorry!
Nehir: No we can go I think!
Büşra: But how?
A man: Who are you, what did you want from me?
Ergin: Nothing. Only we want to go out from this palace.
Beliz: And who are you?
The man: I am a keeper of the palace. Why did you came here?
Ilgın: We want to go please our parents are waiting us!!!
Ergin: Please, Let us go!!!
Man: NO!!!

SCENE 8

Beliz: What do you want from us?
Man: Nothing from you. Only I want to have some friends cause the people from palace don’t help me anytime. They don’t love me.
Nehir: Why?
Man: Cause I am not rich, I am poor. The people in the palace are rich and they don’t like poor peoples. I don’t know why it is, but not all the people are like this in Turkey, normally, people in Turkey aren’t like that but…
Büşra: OK! We understood! We can be your friend but not everytime we can come some days it’s all that! OK???
Man: OK! Thanks very much! See you than I think your family is going to miss you so much! Good Bye!
Ilgın: OK! See you! bye

Aslı:She was also late for the meetings don’t you remember???

Everybody hugged each other and sat down around a table…

Efe:Well, my friends…Its been such a long time .We haven’t seen each other for ages….

(During their talking and having fun Deniz seems to be unhappy and bored.Mine caught this from his behaviours.Deniz rushed out of the room ……)
Mine:There is something wrong with him…Are you also aware of that?

Efe:Maybe he is bored or..
Mine :I don’t think so…
(Deniz turns back and everybody stopped talking…)

(The bell rings and the boys come…)
Girls:Hey we have an idea..
Deniz:Im not a talented at anything-- not a big problem -never mind.
All:What????
Efe:If this is not a big problem then what is.
Deniz:you guys never mind ı dont want to bother you with your perfect lives.
Mine:You are not good saying that.
Deniz:But what do you want me to do?Shall I just say yes?
Aslı:Maybe…But you may start first to believe in yourself…
Efe:Girls are right my friend..
Deniz:Do you think that I didn’t try to????But I have no job,no enough Money,no girlfriend nothing

Narrator: Then Osman Looks at the bird in the sky and a car shot his body.

Narrator:In hospital.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Grandmother: Maryte
Mother: Jurate
Father: Kazys
Sister: Elena(5years old)
Brother: Antanas(7years old)

Scene one

Elena and Antanas are in the corner of the stage and talking in whisper.There is a fir tree in the corner of the room.There is a large table in the middle of the stage.It is the living room.

Antanas:-You know Christmas is coming? What about our presents? Have you sent a letter to Father Christmas?

Elena:- Oh yes, I did. And what about you? Have you ever seen Father Christmas coming at night?

Antanas:- You know, let’s wait till midnight and see all the wonders happening at night. I don’t know how Father Christmas can come to the house when the door is locked? I would like to watch him coming into the room and putting his presents near my bed or under the fir- tree.

Elena:-Oh, yes. And I would like to hear our cat talking. Have you ever heard that animals start talking at Christmas night? I would like to talk to our Murka.

Antanas:
-Yes, we could hide and wait till all these wonders start. Let’s hide somewhere after the Christmas Eve. Don’t go to sleep and sit here in the room and watch Father Christmas coming and our pets talking to each other.

Elena:
-Oh yes. Maybe we could see something happening here.

Christmas Eve. The music of “Silent night” is played. Kazys and Antanas are decorating the fir tree. Jurate and Elena are laying the table. Jurate brings some hay.

Elena:
- Mom, what is this hay for?

Jurate answers:
- We are going to draw lots. Who gets the longest straw, will live happily ever after. And who gets a short straw, will have troubles.

Elena asks:
- Mmm… Now I’ll know.

Jurate and Elena spread the hay on the table and cover it with a table-cloth and start putting the dishes on the table. They bring mushrooms, kuchukai, poppy-milk, herring, jelly made with potato flour, salad, fried fish, beans, vegetable, bread and fruit. Kazys and Antanas come to help them.

Antanas says:
- Well… Now that we have decorated the Christmas tree we can sit at the table.

Jurate says:
- No, you can’t! We have to wait for the oldest family member. Now let us lay the table.

Everybody takes a plate for themselves. But Jurate puts another one.

Elena asks:
- What is it for?

Jurate explains:
-For unexpected guest, the additional plate we usually put for a relative who died last year or a stranger. Just think about people who have no home, no family, no food. This is a plate for them.

The doorbell rings. The children shout:
- Grandmother!

Maryte, grandmother comes in and shouts happily.

Maryte
- Hello kids. How are you?

The children answer:
- We are fine.

She takes off her warm coat and joins the family. Everybody hugs and kisses grandmother. They start talking.


Maryte:
-It’s so cold and snowy outside. Always dreaming about white Christmas. I missed you so much! I love Christmas Eve! Do you know that on Christmas Eve, at midnight all the animals talk? But when you hear them, you can’t tell it to other people…

Antanas:
- I will go listen to them… Why can’t I tell about it to other people?

Maryte says:
- If you do that, you’ll die the next morning.

Elena:
- Ah, it’s so scary!

Then she looks at her brother:
- I think we don’t need to do that, because we could tell it to someone…

Maryte ends this scary discussion:
- Ah, how wonderful those twelve dishes look!

Amazed the children ask:
- Grandma, how do you know, that there are twelve dishes on the table?

Maryte says:
- Your mother does it every year, because it’s an old custom. There are twelve dishes because there are twelve months in a year.

Everyone sits at the table.

Elena asks:
- Why are there six plates, not five?

Jurate explains:
- One plate is for a lost spirit or a stranger.

Elena says:
- Oh…

Antanas says:
- Why are there straws under the cloth? We aren’t sheep to eat it.

Maryte explains:
- We need to draw them. Remember: if the straw is long - life will be long, if the straw is short - life will be short. If the straw is curled up – there will be many changes in your life.

At first all family start saying prayers. Then grandmother takes kaledaitis and everybody takes a piece of it from her hands.
Everybody draws a straw, looks at the other straws and then puts them near the plates. Just angry Antanas twisted his straw and threw it under the table.

Surprised Kazys asks him:
- Why did you do that?

Antanas said with tears in his eyes:
- My straw was short and curled up.

Maryte calms him down cleaning his tears up:
- Don’t cry, it’s just a magic, that can never happen and for the curling, the changes could be good too.

The boy calms down, takes the same straw out of the table cloth and puts it on the table like the others.

Then Jurate asks Maryte:
- Do you know more magic?

Maryte answers:
- Yes, I do. But let’s do it after the meal.

The kids want to put food in their plates but father stops them.

Father:
- Wait, you can’t eat now! You must say your prayers first.

Everybody stand up, put their palms together, put their heads down for a few seconds. Then they all sit down.

Antanas asks:
- Can we eat now?

Kazys says:
- Now we can eat. Just remember, you must taste every twelve dishes.

The kids whisper:
- Why?! We don’t want to!

Jurate says:
- You need to do it because that is done for family peaceful life.

Kids again unhappy say:
- Ok, ok…

When everyone had tasted all the twelve dishes.

Grandma says:
- Now we can do some magic. I just need a few things.

Kazys says:
- Like what?

Maryte says:
- A spoon, a bucket of water, two candles and some matches. Kids, can you bring those things?

Happy kids say:
- Wait!


Scene two

The kids leave the room and after a while, Antanas comes with a spoon, a bucket and Elena comes with two candles and the matches. They put everything on the table in front of Maryte. Maryte lights one candle and puts it into the spoon. Then she puts the spoon on the other candle. When the candle burns and there’s only hot wax, Maryte with one strong swing puts it in the water. Then they all wait until the wax becomes hard. When it hardens, Maryte takes it out and looks at its shadow.

Elena asks:
- Why are you not looking at the wax but at its shadow?

Maryte explains it to her:
- When you look at the shadow, you can see the future.

Then everyone looks at the shadow.

Jurate says:
- Oh, look! I see a dishwasher!

Then Kazys says:
- And look, there’s a new car!

Then Antanas says:
- And there’s a computer!

Then Elena says:
- And it’s portable!

Everyone laughs and Maryte says:
- See how many things you have seen! I wish you that everything would come true!


Jurate says:
- Thank you for your magic.The future seems to be nice for our family. But why don’t you look at the shadow?

Maryte says in a laughter:
- Because I don’t need anything. We could just meet more often!

The children say:
- Yes, we want it too.

Grandma kisses everybody. Father calls the taxi and she leaves them.

Grandma leaving:
- Leave everything on the table for the souls. They come at night to try your meals.

Kazys tells the children:
- Go to your bedroom – it’s very late.

Maryte says:
- Good night. We’ll meet next morning.

The children say:
- Good night!

Elena and Antanas go to their room. Grandma goes home. The parents go to the living room to pack presents.

Scene three

Kazys says:
- Do you think the children will be happy?

Jurate says:
- Yes, really happy. They were waiting for the presents very much.

While the parents are packing the presents, in the children’s room, Elena and Antanas are talking about Christmas.

Antanas says:
- Elena, do you know there is no Father Christmas?

Elena says:
- There is!

Antanas says:
- No.

Elena says:
- Prove it.

Antanas says:
- I will.

Elena asks:
- How?

Antanas says:
- Come with me.

Elena asks:
- Where are we going?

Antanas says:
- You’ll see.

The children get out of bed and go to the other room. The parents hear them.

Kazys says:
- Jurate, I think that Antanas told about Father Christmas to Elena.

Jurate says:
- Why do you think so?

Kazys says:
- Listen, they are coming. Let’s hide the presents.

They hide the presents and the children run into the room.

Elena asks:
- Antanas, what did you want to show me?

Antanas says:
- They are packing the presents! Or not...

Jurate says:
- Children, you know Father Christmas brings you presents.

Elena asks:
- What are you doing here?

Jurate says:
- We are sitting and talking.

Kazys says:
- Yes, we are sitting and waiting for Father Christmas.

Elena says:
- Wake me up when he comes.

Kazys says:
- Ok, Elena, but now go to sleep, both of you.

Jurate says:
- And don’t walk barefooted. You don’t want to get ill, do you?

Elena says:
- Ok, mum.

The children go out of the room. The parents hear their voices from the corridor.

Elena says in a happy voice:
- I told you that there is Father Christmas.

Antanas says:
- One day you will understand there is no .

Elena says:
- There is!

Antanas says:
- Forget it.

The parents smile at each other. After a few minutes

Kazys says:
- Do you think they are sleeping?

Jurate says:
- I will go and look.

After a few minutes she comes back.

Kazys asks:
- Are they sleeping?

Jurate answers:
- They are lying in beds.

Kazys asks:
- Did they say anything?

Jurate answers:
- Antanas is almost asleep and Elena asked if Father Christmas has already come.

Kazys says:
- It’s strange, that when we were children we believed in Father Christmas.

Jurate says:
- Yes. But it was fun to listen to stories and believe in magic.

Then they take the presents out of their bags and finish packing them. Jurate packs the last one.

Jurate:
- It’s finally finished.

Kazys says:
- It’s so late. Let’s go to bed.

Jurate says:
- Yes. Presents’ packing takes so much time.

Kazys says:
- But the children will be happy.

Jurate says:
- They really like presents.

Kazys says:
- And Elena likes when Father Christmas packs them so well.


Scene four

Kazys smiles. Jurate smiles too. They go to sleep and the children are sleeping in their room dreaming beautiful Christmas dreams. In the morning mum wakes up first. She goes to the kitchen to make Christmas breakfast. When she makes the meal she brings the dishes to the living room. Then Jurate hears sounds in the corridor. When she goes out of the room, she sees Elena. Jurate closes the door.

Jurate asks Elena:
- Why aren’t you sleeping? It’s so early.

Elena answers:
- I want to see my presents.

Elena slips away and tries to open the doors of the living room, but Jurate is holding the handle.

Elena asks:
- Mum, why don’t you let me in ?

Jurate answers:
- Elena, wait for everybody to come.

Elena says in a disappointed voice:
- Ok.

Elena goes to her room. Jurate locks the door and goes to her room too. After a minute Elena goes out of her room and goes to the living room, but sees that the door is locked.

Elena shouts:
- Mum!

Jurate goes out of her room. Jurate asks:
- What?

Elena asks:
- Why did you lock the door?

Jurate says:
- You said you wouldn’t go there.

Elena said:
- I just wanted to have a look.

Jurate says:
- It’ll be a surprise.

Elena says:
- Ok.

Elena goes to her room. She goes to bed and falls asleep. After some time Antanas and Kazys wake up. When Elena wakes up, she finds her family awake.

Elena asks:
- Can we go unpack our presents now?

Kazys asks:
- Maybe we should eat breakfast first and then we could look at our presents.

The children shout:
- No!

Kazys asks:
- Don’t you want to eat?

Antanas says:
- Yes, but we want to see our presents first.

Jurate says:
- Ok. You can go and maybe you will find your presents there.

The children go to the living- room to the fir- tree and the parents go after them. Elena unpacks her present.

Elena:
- Mum, dad, look! I got a teddybear! It’s so big and pretty… I’ll call it Teddy.

Antanas unpacks his present and finds an airplane.

Antanas says:
- Look what I got! Cool! I wanted this!

Kazys says:
- Now that you’ve unpacked your presents, we can go and have our breakfast.

Everyone goes to eat. Elena puts a big spoon of salad in her plate.

Elena:
- Why didn’t you wake me up when Father Christmas came?

Antanas says:
- Because there is no Father Christmas.

Elena shouts:
- There is!

Mother:
- Children! We were out of the room and when we came back, there were presents under the fir tree.

The children fall in silence. It is so silent, you could hear the clock ticking in the room.

Antanas:
- Elena.

Elena asks:
- What?


Antanas says:
- Let’s try who will eat a piece of cake first.

Elena says:
- Ok. I will win.

Antanas says:
- We’ll see.

They start eating the cake. Antanas wins.

Antanas:
- See? I’ve eaten it first.

Elena says:
- I didn’t want to eat first.

Antanas says:
- You wanted to.

Elena says:
- No, I didn’t. And you ate the cake first because you’re older than me...

Antanas says:
- Yes.

Elena says:

-… and fatter.

Elena laughs.

Antanas :
- You are fat too.

Elena:
- No, I am not fat. You are the fattest kid in the world.


Kazys says:
- Children, stop arguing.

The children fall in silence. Everyone is eating. Christmas music is playing again : Shaking Stevens ,,Snow is falling all around me…”

Some explanation
We have chosen Christmas Eve, because it is the most important festival for every Lithuanian family and of course Christmas was in the air at the time of writing this first play.

The group of students who created this play. Everybody tried to make their best in creating it.
